Integrated within YottaVault, YottaCycle is the long term storage solution.

Company data can be placed into one of two categories – Critical Information or Important Information.

• Critical information is a necessity for day-to-day operations and is protected in the primary vault for guarded confidentiality and rapid accessibility.

• Important information including historical, legal and regulatory information can be securely protected and archived to a secondary and less expensive vault – (YottaCycle).

Critical data is typically accessed on a regular basis; however, as a given file is accessed less frequently over time, this data modifies from critical to important, thus the value of the data changes. As a result of setting retention rules within YottaVault, a file may cease being critical and may be reclassified as important within a certain designated timeframe or inactivity. YottaVault, in turn, automatically transfers this data to YottaCycle. This action is performed routinely, without intervention by IT personnel.
