Included in our YottaVault offering, YottaSafe is the option of safeguarding your AES256 encryption key.

Each of our YottaVault clients receives a 32 character encryption key to ensure the security of their data. This key is MANDATORY to access and recover your guarded data and essential to unencrypted data.

The encryption key ensures your data is secure while at your site, during transfers and while at rest in our world class data centers. Without this encryption key, data will be retrievable, but not readable due to its encryption; therefore, the security of the encryption key is extremely critical.

Many of our customers desired a safe data backup copy of their key as a precautionary measure in their standard procedures. YottaSafe was created to maintain a duplicate copy of their encryption key; YottaSafe serves as a secure location to offer additional protection and security to defend the confidentiality of your vital data.

How Does it Work?

Upon request, a customer’s encryption key is placed in a fireproof, water tight, heavy gauge steel constructed bank vault within our primary data center. A copy of the key is placed in an envelope by the customer, signed on the inside and sealed by the customer. Yotta280 places the envelope in the secured vault in our data center. If the encryption key is ever needed, the business simply contacts us and we provide them with the sealed envelope containing the codes. The fee for this service is minimal.
